In the coming months, we plan to implement the project of increasing the energy efficiency of the production building H1, renovating part of the facade and warming the facade and roof of the building.
Indicators to be achieved in the project:
▪️ total primary energy savings of no less than 58%
▪️ total primary energy saving no less than 387.32 MWh per year
▪️ CO2 reduction of 69.88 tons per year
The project was implemented within the framework of the #NextGenerationEU Renewal and Resilience Mechanism with the Development Finance Institution ALTUM.

Congratulations to our Tenant – care of Sweden AB daughter company Care of Sweden, SIA – on the start of operations in Liepāja!

As the owner and developer of the business park, we are truly pleased and grateful both for the opportunity to work with goal-oriented investors, being able to adapt and create the necessary premises, as well as for the trust and opportunity to be part of a newly established company.

We continue working on our development plans and are ready for new challenges!

 A solar power plant with capacity of 200kW has been put into operation. As a result of the project, at least 165 MWh electricity will be produced from renewable energy resources, reducing CO2 emissions by 17.99 t per year. Electricity obtained from renewable energy resources will make up ~30% of the current annual electricity consumption of the business park, thus all “green” electricity will be used for the needs of our park.
The project was implemented within the framework of the Renewal and Resilience Mechanism (#NextGenerationEU) within the framework of the project “Introduction of renewable energy technologies in enterprises” of the support program “Energy efficiency loan with a capital discount” administered by “Development finance institution ALTUM“. Design and construction works were executed by Ltd “ELT SOLUTION”.

Celebrating Liepāja’s 399th birthday, the winners of the title “Gada liepājnieks 2023” were awarded. Additionally, special acknowledgements were presented, one of them – for a successful development of the business environment in the city of Liepāja – was presented to the owner of our park, Jānis Siliņš.

Another development project, as a result of which a production building with an area of 3000 m² has been built, as well as all engineering communications necessary for the needs of the production plant. The construction costs of the new production building amounted to 1.7 mil. EUR.
The new production facility has been leased to the Swedish capital company “Care of Sweden AB”. 

At the end of May, a time capsule with a message for future generations was embedded in the foundations of the future production building /H8/. Currently the assembly of the roof structures has begun. The area of the new production hangar is 3000 m² and the total planned investment amount in this project is 1.7 million euro. The new production plant is built for Swedish medical mattress manufacturer “Care of Sweden AB”, which plans to start production in the newly built facility at the end of this year.

Swedish subsidiary of Care of Sweden plans to start the production of medical mattresses in Liepāja at the end of this year.
Latvian prodction plant will be located in our park, in a completely new production facility of 3000 m².

eSYS PRO is a company dealing with collection of various types of waste. Company’s main business function is management of liquid and solid port waste generated form yachts, ships and vessels. Company’s activities are also related to maintaining security in the port area – patrolling and ensuring the operation of the port maintenance coordination center.

In cooperation with Bosgrupa_lv our new production hangar no. 9 roofs has six LAMILUX Skylight F100 skylights, which provide ventilation and smoke outlet, as well as functions as a source of natural light for the building. The upstand is made of two-layer acrylic domes and their operation is ensured by pneumatically opening mechanisms.

Building works are co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund, according to the agreement on the implementation of the project No. 3.1.1.5/15/A/010.

We are very pleased and honoured that our park has been evaluated and chosen as further development base for a Finnish designer and manufacturer of industrial walkways, stair towers as well as various other types of metal structures – PREMEKON Oy. Design is the strength of PREMEKON, and this allows the clients to be provided with turnkey deliveries of the service platforms: from custom-made 3D design to installation.

We are pleased that the construction works at site “Production building No. 9, Veca ostmala 10, Liepaja, Veca ostmala 10” are taking place in accordance with the planned construction time schedule, in order to put into operation a new production plant with a total area of 1892 m² already in October.

On March 25, 2021, amendments No. 4 were signed with the Central Finance and Contracts Agency at 31.12.2016. concluded contract no. 3.1.1.5/16A/010, according to which the implementation term of the project “Construction of a production building in Liepāja, Vecā ostmala 10” has been extended until 28 February 2022.

Construction works and design works are co-financed by the ERDF, in accordance with the agreement on the implementation of the European Union fund project No.3.1.1.5 / 16 / A / 010.

Project “Reconstruction of an existing warehouse building into a production building No. 4 and preparation of the construction site for the new production building No.9 in Liepaja, Veca ostmala 10” is carried out in two parts.

Accomplished is the 1st part of the project:

On March 31, 2020, a construction contract was signed with SIA “Būve LK”, Reg.No.42103079215 for the object “Construction of production building No.9 in Liepāja, Vecā Ostmala 10” with the term of execution of the contract 30.12.2021.

Construction works and design works are co-financed by the ERDF, in accordance with the agreement on the implementation of the European Union fund project No.3.1.1.5 / 16 / A / 010.

July 17, 2020 The Liepāja City Construction Board approved the construction project “Construction of Production Building No.9 in Liepāja, Vecā Ostmala 10” and issued a building permit with a mark “fulfillment of design conditions”. The construction project was developed by SIA “WS”.

Construction works and design works are co-financed by the ERDF, in accordance with the agreement on the implementation of the European Union fund project No.3.1.1.5 / 16 / A / 010.

For strengthening our business and implementing joint cooperation projects, we have become a member of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK).

We are pleased that one of the leading natural water producers and suppliers in Latvia – Ltd “VENDEN” has joined Vecās Ostmalas Biznesa Parks.

The company was founded in 1997 and its main business is the production of natural spring water and natural mineral water, lease of water use equipment, sale of coffee and related products, as well as lease of coffee equipment.

On March 19, 2020, a announcement was published on the website of the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (PMB) regarding the results of the beneficiary’s procurement procedure for the procurement “Construction of Production Building No. 9 in Liepaja, Old Ostmala 10”. The tenderer was selected – SIA “Būve LK”, which submitted a tender for the lowest price in accordance with the procurement regulations. The amount of construction works offered by the selected tenderer is 825 560.93 EUR. SIA “VIA-S modulas houses” has successfully started production of modular houses in the newly created production building No.4, which was put into operation on 28.02.2020.

The construction and design works of the newly established production building are co-financed by the ERDF, in accordance with the agreement on the implementation of the European Union fund project No.3.1.1.5 / 16 / A / 010.

Rebuilding a former warehouse and putting into operation as production plant was carried out through the public co-financing of a first round project supported by the “European Regional Development Fund” (ERDF) (No. 3.1.1.5/161/A/010). The total costs of this round of the project amounted to EUR 734 657.79, of which private financing is 55%, while 45% is covered by the ERDF …

January 14, 2019

On October 12, 2018, amendment No. 1 to the Contract No. 3.1.1.5/16A/010 concluded on December 31, 2016 was signed with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency Republic of Latvia. According to the agreement deadline for the building of new production facility in Liepaja, Vecā ostmala 10, has been extended until 31 December 2020.

As a result of the amendments, the following projects will be carried out by means of public co-financing by the ERDF in the area of “Vecas Ostmalas Biznesa Parks” by December 31, 2020:

1. Reconstruction of an existing warehouse building (cadastre No 17000340255004) into a production building with a total area of 984,51 m2.
2. A new production building with a total space of 1892,20 m2 will be built.

1. On December 2, 2016, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency Republic of Latvia approved the project of the Liepajas Special Ecnomonic Zone Ltd “Vecas Ostmalas Biznesa Parks” on “Construction of the Production Building in Liepaja, Veca ostmala 10”. The aim of the project is to build a modern and energy-efficient hangar-type production building with an area of 3049,10 m2, to develop the area around the new production building and to build engineering communications needed for the operations. The project implementation address is Liepaja, Veca ostmala 10, which is part of the building area of a mixed business with production function in Liepaja city.

During the Board meeting of Liepaja Special Economic Zone held on 21 September 2016, was decided to grant the status of special economic zone to Ltd “Vecas Ostmalas Biznesa Parks”.
2. On September 30, 2016, an agreement No. 1 was concluded with Liepaja SEZ and VOBP regarding the investment project “Adjustment of production facilities according to the planned production process of the Tenant”. The project amount is 33 464, EUR. Deadline for implementation is from 01.10.2016. to 31.12.2016. The project implementation address is Liepāja, Veca ostmala 10.
